Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Charleston Division seeks a Pharmacy Clinical Manager to oversee inpatient pharmacy operations at the Charleston Division Hospitals, including the Ashley River Tower, University Hospital, and Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.

This role leads a team of professional and support staff, drives process improvements, aligns with strategic priorities, and collaborates with leaders to enhance workflows, quality outcomes, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
• 6 years progressive work experience and 1 years management experience.
• State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operational oversight of the Inpatient Pharmacy areas.
• Represents the Pharmacy ICCE in work groups and committees as requested.
• Provide hands-on leadership and operational improvement subject matter expertise to division specific projects and operational improvement teams.
• Ensure alignment to operational plans and strategic priorities.
• Responsible for selecting, developing, and deploying staff in the most effective manner to meet assigned objectives.
• Demonstrate high influence, motivates, and pushes others to succeed in the organizations vision, mission, and goals.
• Instill a culture of continual, real-time feedback that integrates with professional development framework.
• Collaborate to ensure highest level of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Establish processes to improve efficiencies and drive financial improvement.
