Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the In-Patient Pharmacy Services department. The role involves refilling automated dispensing systems, preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackaging bulk medications, and managing inventory at the Pensacola facility.

You will triage calls and liaise between pharmacy staff, patients, and health professionals, ensuring accurate information flow and timely service. A valid PTCB or Florida Board license is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Florida Board prior to hire/date of transfer.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems and prepare orders; maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Repackage bulk medications.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Triage incoming calls and act as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.
