Job summary

Howard University Hospital is seeking a licensed Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join the Inpatient Pharmacy team on a per diem basis. You will provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages, review orders, evaluate drug therapy, and serve as a drug information resource for clinicians across the hospital.

Responsibilities include interpreting orders, maintaining medication profiles, and coordinating with pharmacy leadership to ensure safe, effective medication use.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (PharmD preferred).
• Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency.
• DC Pharmacist license or reciprocity eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages in inpatient setting.
• Interpret and process medication orders; maintain patient medication profiles.
• Intervene with physicians to ensure appropriate therapy and safety.
