Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, KS seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for inpatient midnights to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, participate in rounds, and support patient safety initiatives.

You will assess drug therapy, adjust doses for renal/hepatic impairment, and educate staff and trainees. State licensure and ACLS/PALS/NRP/BLS as applicable are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred completion of an accredited pharmacy post graduate training program (PGY-1 and/or PGY-2).
• Licensed Pharmacist - state board of pharmacy; ACLS/PALS/NRP/BLS as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in rounds and provides patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
• Assesses and monitors drug therapy; adjusts doses for renal or hepatic dysfunction.
• Supports medication safety initiatives and education of staff and trainees.
