Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, MT is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist to join the dedicated pharmacy team. The role covers medication order verification, patient-specific pharmacotherapy, and collaboration with clinicians in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position requires a PharmD or equivalent, MT license, and certifications such as RQI/BLS and ACLS. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential to support patient care and departmental goals.

Qualifications

• PharmD from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the AACP, or equivalent clinical experience.
• Current Montana State Board of Pharmacy, Registered Pharmacist License required.
• Accurate data entry skills, analytical and advanced math skills required.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
• First Responder for assignment in multiple pharmacist roles.
• ACLS required for all other assigned area(s).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and verifies orders for therapeutic appropriateness and dosing.
• Provides patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations and drug information.
• Performs daily review of pharmacy reports and pharmacokinetic monitoring.
• Documents clinical interventions in the EMR.
• Implements formulary decisions and policy.
• Precepts pharmacy students on rotations.
• Coordinates medication ordering and administration systems for oncology patients.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians as applicable.
