Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a 40-hour inpatient pharmacist for evening coverage. The role involves interpreting orders, ensuring safe dosages, and supervising support staff in the hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities include patient education, drug information provision, and contributing to quality improvements, with Massachusetts licensure required or achieved within 90 days. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in Massachusetts or intern license with licensure within 90 days.
• Completion of degree in pharmacy; Doctorate preferred for advanced practice.
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations and EPIC Willow/Beacon systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate medication orders to ensure appropriate drug and dosage.
• Review, fill and dispense physician orders; ensure proper labeling.
• Check orders filled by staff and verify correct preparation.
• Provide drug information as a subject matter expert and educate patients.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and supervise staff as needed.
