Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts pharmacist license or intern license with eventual licensure
• Experience in hospital pharmacy and pediatrics preferred
• Ability to review orders, determine dosing, and provide drug information

Responsibilities

• Distribute controlled substances and oversee non-sterile compounding and inventory
• Interpret and evaluate medication orders for dosing and safety, contacting physicians as needed
• Review, fill, and dispense orders; verify labeling and accuracy
• Provide drug information and patient education; complete medication history documentation
• Supervise support staff and ensure procedures and protocols are followed
• Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure timely medication supply
