Job summary

University of Kentucky Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist Clinical Staff to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in Inpatient neurosurgery, neurology, stroke and medicine ICUs. You will participate in rounds, confer with physicians to optimize therapy and review medication orders.

You will document pharmacokinetic/pharmacotherapeutic services and educate technicians, students, residents, nurses and physicians through teaching activities and grand rounds.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist required.
• BS required.
• PharmD and ASHP PGY1/PGY2 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to Inpatient neurosurgery, neurology, stroke and medicine ICU patients by participating in rounds and collaborating with physicians to optimize medication therapy.
• Document pharmacokinetic and pharmacotherapeutic consultations.
• Educate pharmacy staff and students through precepting, in-services and grand rounds.
