Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, evaluate medication orders, and support drug distribution in a high-volume academic health system. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize therapy across neonatal to geriatric patients.

The role requires Kentucky pharmacist licensure (or eligibility), PGY-1 residency or 3+ years of related experience, and potential board certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required.
• Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency or 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Licensure as a pharmacist in Kentucky is required or eligible.
• Board Certification by BPS preferred; BLS and ACLS certifications preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Perform medication order evaluation and verification; support drug distribution and sterile compounding.
• Supervise technicians and mentor students or residents as appropriate.
• Engage in formulary management, drug information, and cost-containment initiatives.
• Document interventions in the EHR and participate in clinical and operational pharmacy initiatives.
