Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Inpatient Medical-Surgical Flex Team at our Main Hospital. The role involves direct patient care under physician supervision across selected units, with on-call/off-shift responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of inpatient APP experience or completion of CHOP's APP Clinical Immersion Program for new graduates, with licensure requirements to obtain Prescriptive

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of APP inpatient experience.
• For new graduates, CHOP's APP Clinical Immersion Program completion.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality patient care.
• Eligibility for Prescriptive Authority and RN licensure in PA is required or imminent.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients for urgent conditions and develop care plans.
• Perform therapeutic interventions to stabilize health problems as allowed by privileges.
• Manage plan of care with regular evaluation and documentation of patient response.
• Facilitate transitions between care settings and educate patients and families.
• Participate in professional development, research, and educational activities.
