Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Oncology Flex Team at Main Hospital and King of Prussia. The role flexes between inpatient and outpatient oncology units, with supervision by an attending physician and a focus on high-acuity patient care.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of Pediatric Oncology experience, and will participate in education, research, and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s degree as Physician Assistant is required.
• Prescriptive Authority license within 3 months of hire; PA-C/CRNP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess complex acute, critical and chronically ill patients for urgent needs.
• Perform therapeutic interventions to stabilize health problems.
• Evaluate risk and benefits of interventions and document patient response.
• Coordinate transitions between care settings and educate patients/families.
