Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Tech II for the Inpatient Memorial Campus Float Pool in Worcester, MA. This full-time day position requires basic clinical competencies and helps the care team with vital signs, daily living activities, and safety.

The role supports nurses and clinicians, performs routine tests, assists with treatments, and ensures compassionate patient care in a busy inpatient setting. Eligible candidates may receive a signing bonus; on-site work only.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• English reading and writing proficiency.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
• Take and record vital signs and measurements (temp, pulse, respirations, BP, pulse ox).
• Assist with daily living activities and positioning of patients.
• Maintain patient safety and de-escalate when needed; participate in restraints if trained.
• Assist RN/LIP with treatments and prepare equipment and supplies.
