Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred.
• 2 years of inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming) and document vital signs, intake/output, and weights.
• Transfer patients using proper body mechanics and safe handling techniques.
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Prepare units, rooms, and beds for admissions; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Respond to patient and family calls and requests in a timely manner.
• Designate charges to patients using hospital systems.
• May be required to work during inclement weather or staffing emergencies.
• Adhere to safety and Infection Prevention standards and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
