Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 2 years of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Current BLS required.
• Infection prevention knowledge and proper body mechanics.
• General computer skills: data entry, word processing, email, records management.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct bedside care (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming).
• Records vitals, intake/output, weights, and specimens.
• Transfers patients using proper body mechanics.
• Notifies nursing staff of changes in patient condition.
• Prepares units and rooms for admissions and discharges.
• Maintains clean, safe patient areas and equipment.
• Responds to patient and family calls and requests promptly.
