Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a 1.0 FTE inpatient PA or NP for standard 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, primarily based at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Privileges may be obtained to float to other metro sites as needed.

The role involves clinical care within a physician/nurse team, including diagnosing, prescribing medications and therapies, and educating patients. Collaboration with multidisciplinary staff is essential, with potential occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree - NP or PA program completed.
• Eligible for MN RN or PA licensure upon hire.
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 certification required within 180 days.
• DEA registration required upon hire.
• Driver's license valid; MN/WI residents must obtain license in state of residence within 60 days for specific sites.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients as part of a physician/nurse team.
• Orders and interprets diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Educates patients and manages chronic illness or wellness care.
• Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients as designated.

Education

Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
