Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an inpatient PA or NP for 1.0 FTE with 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday. The primary location is Abbott Northwestern Hospital with potential to float to other metro sites. Occasional call or weekend work may occur.

Provides patient care within a physician/nurse team, diagnoses, treats, and educates, while collaborating with diverse health care professionals to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant program.
• Licensed RN or PA/NP licensure required on hire.
• ACLS/BLS Tier 2 certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for inpatients as part of a physician/nurse team.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, and medical equipment.
• Coordinates with care team and refers to specialty care when needed.
• Educates patients and manages chronic illness or wellness care.
• Collaborates with hospital staff and rounds on patients as designated.
