Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced RN/APRN to support inpatient pain management services. You will perform pain evaluations, collaborate with the pain management physician team, and document assessments and treatment recommendations in the EMR.

The role requires active RN/APRN licensure, board certification, and DEA registration, with Illinois licensure considerations. A Master’s in Nursing is required and no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN licenses in state(s) of practice.
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if Illinois practice).
• Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire.
• Education Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience Required: No experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient pain evaluations and consultations within the hospital setting.
• Collaborate closely with pain management physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide timely and thorough documentation of patient assessments and treatment recommendations.
• Support continuity of care and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered pain management services.
• Participate in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives/performance activities.
• Education and onboarding of new team members and staff.
