Job summary
Allina Health is seeking a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient pain management consultations at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. The role involves diagnosing, managing, and coordinating care for patients with acute and chronic pain, including post-surgical care, within a multidisciplinary neuroscience team.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in MN upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner in MN; ANCC certification in specialty required upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 certification required within 180 days.
- DEA registration required upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical care for patients within a physician/nurse practitioner team.
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, and medical equipment.
- Educates patients on managing chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refer to specialty care when appropriate.
