Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an Interventional Pain Management Physician to join the Brain and Spine Institute and expand the Pain Management program in the northwest Twin Cities metro, Minnesota. A Pain Medicine fellowship is strongly preferred, but candidates with PM&R, Neurology, or Psychiatry residency backgrounds will be considered.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, education, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctoral/MD/DO or foreign equivalent from an approved medical school
• Completion of ACGME or AOA accredited residency in PM&R, Neurology, or Psychiatry
• Pain Medicine Fellowship or minimum 3+ years Pain Management practice

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care by reviewing medical history and synthesizing data pertinent to health.
• Educate, consult, and design treatment plans for patients and families.
• Evaluate and manage patients with developmental or acquired impairment, including rehab programs.
• Use electromyography and imaging where appropriate to support diagnoses and treatment decisions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team; participate in on-call rotation; document care in electronic medical records.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

ACGME/AOA residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Psychiatry

Pain Medicine Fellowship or 3+ years Pain Management experience
