Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania seeks an Inpatient Registered Nurse with PACU experience. You will provide direct patient care, complete assessments, coordinate plan of care, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely recovery.

You’ll participate in quality and safety education and contribute to unit goals and patient outcomes. Relocation funds and a generous incentive are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience (Required).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (State of Pennsylvania) and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care as needed.
• Manages patient education, discharge planning, and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based decision-making and quality/safety initiatives.
