Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Speech Pathologist (Diem) IP to assess, plan, and provide speech, language, and swallowing therapies across hospital and outpatient settings. The role requires certification and state licensure, with emphasis on thorough documentation and interprofessional collaboration.

Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to educate patients and families. Occasional travel between campuses is possible, with a standard 8‑hour shift and eligible benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited speech-language pathology program or education approved by the NJ Board.
• Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs.
• BLS—Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Plan and provide speech language and swallowing therapy services.
• Document all aspects of speech pathology services accurately and timely.
• Develop measurable goals and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Instruct patients and families, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other providers.
• Ensure thorough documentation for billing and reporting purposes.
