Job summary

Sheltering Arms Institute in Richmond, VA is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient team. The OT provides patient-centered therapy, conducts examinations (ages 12+), develops treatment plans, and coordinates with the care team.

You will supervise therapy aides and students, document progress, and adapt interventions across clinical areas as needed. A strong background in inpatient rehab and Virginia licensure eligibility are preferred, with CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program required.
• Master's or doctoral degree in occupational therapy preferred.
• Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility required.
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations (ages 12+) and develop treatment plans.
• Document outcomes and communicate with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical direction and supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Instruct therapy staff, students, and caregivers; may rotate through clinical areas.
