Job summary

Springfield Hospital in Vermont is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist and Recreational Therapy Coordinator to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across inpatient medical, surgical, swing bed, and behavioral health settings.

You will maximize patient independence, coordinate recreational therapy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support functional recovery and safe transitions of care in a rural healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Current Vermont OT license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy across inpatient settings.
• Coordinate recreational therapy to support physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for functional recovery and safe care transitions.
• Participate in admission and discharge planning.
• Work within a rural healthcare environment to optimize outcomes.
