Job summary

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current New York State Occupational Therapy license and registration with the National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy.
• AHA-BLS within 6 months of hire or current non-AHA-BLS honored until renewal.
• Complete accurate and legible documentation as per guidelines.
• Qualitatively evaluate and treat all age groups in inpatient, outpatient, SNF and sub-acute rehab settings.
• Effectively communicate plan, participation level, and outcomes to patients and caretakers.
• Communicate well with the public and Rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Completes medically prescribed Occupational Therapy assessment, plans and implements treatment program.
• Reassesses patient status as indicated to restore function and maximize ability.
