Lake Charles Memorial Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat inpatients referred for Occupational Therapy. The role involves preparing reports and communicating patient progress to the care team.

The position requires supervising and coordinating care with staff, advancing patient independence in Activities of Daily Living, and providing adaptive equipment options when needed. A Louisiana OT license and NBCOT certification are required.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Satisfactory completion of the NBCOT examination.
• CPR certification.
• Current licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in Louisiana.

Responsabilités

• Completes documentation outcome measures for evaluations, daily, weekly progress notes and discharge summaries as required by IRF regulations.
• Assesses the functional needs of the patient and sets appropriate goals for that patient.
• Provides direct patient care; evaluates outcomes; and consults with other specialists as needed.
• Provides patient/family with options for adaptive equipment.
• Oversees the care of all assigned patients and all care givers rendering such care, including support staff, volunteers and students.
• Promotes independence for Activities of Daily Living tasks.
