Job summary

The position requires a degree in Occupational Therapy, NBCOT certification, and a current Louisiana license, with ongoing CEU completion and CPR certification to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification and current Louisiana OT license.
• Annual CEU requirements per State Board governing OT.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication with patients, family and medical staff.
• Ability to care for diverse age populations.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the functional needs of the patient and sets appropriate goals for that patient.
• Provides direct patient care; evaluates outcomes; and consults with other specialists as needed.
• Provides vocational training as appropriate for patient's potential skill level.
• Provides patient/family with options for adaptive equipment.
• Oversees the care of all assigned patients and all caregivers rendering such care.
• Promotes independence for Activities of Daily Living tasks.
