Job summary

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program and licensure to practice in Louisiana.
• NBCOT certification and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to communicate well with patients, families and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation and outcome measures for evaluations and progress notes.
• Assesses patient needs, sets functional goals, and provides direct care.
• Evaluates outcomes and consults with other specialists as needed.
• Educates patients and families on adaptive equipment options.
• Oversees care of assigned patients and supports staff and students.
• Promotes independence in Activities of Daily Living tasks.
