Job summary

Banner Health seeks an Operating Room RN in Phoenix, AZ, to support General, Trauma, GYN and Plastics cases in a busy surgical unit. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to nursing standards in a Magnet-designated facility.

Ideal candidates have OR circulating experience and Periop 101, with a current RN license, BLS, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
• Experience in the clinical area for which you are applying is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience in operating room settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care per policies and standards.
• Formulate and update discharge plans with input from patient and family.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise health care team activities.
• Communicate patient status to care teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Document care using the patient record with timely entries.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and professional development.
