Job summary

Key duties include implementing patient care processes, coordinating care across services, mentoring nurse leaders, and driving quality improvement and IT-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing
• strong hospital management experience with perioperative services

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements operational processes to ensure quality patient care across large departments and/or multiple units.
• Participates in development and implementation of patient care practices across the continuum of care.
• Partners with leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures for coordination of care.
• Represents nursing units on interdisciplinary committees.
• Oversees budget planning, variance analyses, and resource coordination.
• Promotes shared governance and collaborative decision making.
• Recruitment, performance evaluation, and staff development responsibilities.
• Collaborates with IT to improve patient care information systems.
• Designs and coordinates patient flow systems.
• Oversees labor relations issues and contract negotiations at the local level.
