Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Boston area is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for inpatient oncology care at Mount Auburn Hospital. The role includes comprehensive assessments, chemo/immunotherapy administration, education, and coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of recent RN experience preferred; oncology experience preferred.
• Oncology/hematology inpatient or infusion clinic experience preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct oncology nursing care, including comprehensive assessment, care planning, symptom management, and outcome evaluation for adult oncology patients and families.
• Administer chemotherapeutic agents and immunotherapies per protocols; verify orders and monitor for adverse events.
• Manage central venous access devices; perform access, maintenance, blood draws, and transfusions per policy.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, self-care, and discharge instructions; coordinate referrals.
