Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (ACPS) to join the inpatient Acute Care Clinical Pharmacy Team, focusing on medical oncology and internal medicine. The role provides direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team handling complex oncology patients, chemotherapy, ITOX, and care transitions.

The ideal candidate has PharmD, BPS certification and extensive inpatient oncology experience, with leadership and teaching capabilities.

Qualifications

PharmD or equivalent and licensed pharmacist in good standing.
Board of Pharmacy Certification in area of specialty within 18 months of hire (BCPS or BCOP).
Completion of a PGY-2 Residency; OR PGY-1 plus a minimum of 3 years of progressive clinical pharmacist experience; OR 8 years of progressive clinical pharmacist practice in an academic setting with specialty focus.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to hospitalized patients with medical oncology and internal medicine needs.
Manage inpatient chemotherapy, ITOX, pharmacotherapy consultations and dose adjustments.
Coordinate anticoagulation management, renal/hepatic dose adjustments, and transitions of care.
Collaborate with multiple specialties and healthcare staff to ensure safe, evidence-based pharmacotherapy.
Precept pharmacy students and residents as part of ASHP-accredited residency program.
