Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (ACPS) to join the inpatient Acute Care Clinical Pharmacy Team. The role focuses on inpatient medical oncology and internal medicine, providing comprehensive pharmacotherapy and transitions of care for medically complex patients.

The position requires strong leadership, residency training, and board certification in oncology pharmacotherapy (BCOP preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy; licensed pharmacist; BPS certification within 18 months of hire or transfer.
• Completion of PGY-2 Residency or PGY-1 + 3 years, or 8 years of advanced practice in a comprehensive academic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to medical oncology and internal medicine patients, including inpatient chemotherapy and ITOX.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, case managers, and other pharmacists to optimize pharmacotherapy.
• Develop and provide medication education to staff, patients, and caregivers.
• Support formulary initiatives, MUEs, and clinical protocol implementation in oncology.
• Mentor ASHP-accredited residents and APPE students as part of the residency program.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees focused on quality and safety.
