Job summary

Family Health West in Fruita, CO is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for inpatient therapy. You will join a hospital-based rehabilitation team delivering quality care under the OT plan with opportunities for growth and collaboration.

This full-time role requires Colorado licensure as a COTA (or eligibility), current BLS, and compliance with immunizations. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in COTA program.
• Licenses: Current Colorado license in good standing.
• Certifications: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant per AOTA; current BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Experience: No experience required; new grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services as planned, delegated and directed by Occupational Therapist.
• Document services provided.
• Report the condition of the patient/resident/client to the care team(s).
• Display critical thinking to assess and provide care to individual patient needs.
• Assist with orientation and in-service training for department staff; participate in training and educational programs.
• Train personnel via on-the-job training for nursing and other hospital staff.
• Other job related duties as assigned.
