Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree associated with COTA program.
• Licenses: Must have a current State of Colorado license in good standing.
• Certifications: Must be Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant as approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Current BLS Certification, or receive within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services as planned, delegated and directed by Occupational Therapist.
• Document services provided.
• Report the condition of the patient/resident/client to the care team(s).
• Display critical thinking skills to assess and provide care to individual patient care needs.
• Provide care to assure compliance with insurance carries that is medically justified and skilled.
• Comply with ethical standards of practice and follows the Colorado State Practice act.
• Assist with orientation and in-service training for department staff members. Participate in training and educational programs.
• Train personnel, utilizing on-the-job training for nursing and other hospital staff, as well as departmental staff.
