Job summary

Bridgton Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide consultative and therapeutic services to patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders in an inpatient setting. You will work within the interdisciplinary care team and adhere to hospital policies while restoring function and preventing disability.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master in Occupational Therapy, current state OT certification, BCLS, and NBCOT certification (AOTA/OTAC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519. Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Education

Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy

Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license

Current BCLS (AHA) certificate

National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred
