Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago is seeking an Occupational Therapist – Inpatient, Per Diem. You will provide OT evaluation, treatment and follow-up for physician-referred patients, with hours: Days; 8am-4:30pm; rotating weekends and holidays; per diem as needed.

Requires a BS/MS in Occupational Therapy, IL licensure eligibility, CPR certification, and strong interpersonal skills. You will collaborate with physicians and families, maintain patient records and participate in staff meetings and student

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of IL; CPR certification.
• Entry level position; no clinical experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality Occupational therapy services to patients including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Communicates and collaborates with physicians, other health professionals and family members to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Prepares and maintains accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries and billing as required by Medicare and payers.
• Assists in organizing and maintaining equipment and scheduling.
• Ensures all patient care billing for treatment and equipment is completed according to policy.
• Participates in staff meetings and clinical supervision of OT students and volunteers.
