Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Inpatient Occupational Therapist to join our team. You will assess patients, plan and implement therapy, and collaborate with the care team to maximize functional progress for patients in acute and inpatient rehab settings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), state OT licensure, and BLS certification on hire. New graduates may apply as part of our supportive team environment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The OTR supervises therapy assistants, aides and students. What you will do in this role:

• You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.

• You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.

• You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.

• You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.

• You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.

• State of Practice Occupational Therapy License

• BLS certification required upon hire

• New graduates from accredited school may apply
