HCA Healthcare’s Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital Texsan is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN Inpatient to join a dedicated rehab team. You will evaluate patients, design individualized plans, and provide hands-on therapy to improve independence and quality of life.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, staff, and families in a patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in OT, Texas license, and BLS, with inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and Texas OT license.
• Inpatient OT experience preferred; BLS certification required.
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized plans with the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Lead by example and support therapy assistants and students.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Occupational Therapy License issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
• Prefer one or more years of experience in an Inpatient Occupational Therapy Setting
• BLS Certification
