Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to join our caring team. You will conduct assessments, develop plans, and implement therapy across acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings, working with a supportive group focused on patient progress.

The role emphasizes collaboration with therapy staff, education for patients and families, and ongoing adjustment of treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• State of Practice Occupational Therapy License.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• New graduates from accredited programs may apply.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish treatment goals for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
• Coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
• Develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
• Deliver care and modify the care plan as needed to meet patient needs.
• Serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Occupational Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The OTR supervises therapy assistants, aides and students. What you will do in this role:

• You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.

• You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.

• You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.

• You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient's needs.

• You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.

• State of Practice Occupational Therapy License

• BLS certification required upon hire
