Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced Nurse Executive to oversee nursing leadership, operations, and clinical performance across departments in New Jersey. The role involves coordinating patient care, budgeting, staff development, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will drive Magnet journey initiatives, promote a culture of safety, and lead recruitment and retention for nursing teams. NJ licensure and BLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid RN license in NJ or compact license.
• Nurse Executive Certification upon hire or within one year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 patient care coordination and staffing to ensure safety, throughput and patient experience.
• Develop and manage annual operating, capital and staffing budgets to align with financial objectives.
• Lead performance management including evaluations, recruitment, retention and coaching for clinical staff.
• Foster a staff-driven culture focused on service excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Represent the hospital in the community to promote the organization and its services.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, Joint Commission, etc.).
• Promote shared governance and Magnet journey milestones, supporting nursing excellence.
