Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Advance Practice Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting for patients with complex medical conditions or surgical needs.

The role involves collaborating with faculty, fellows, residents, and nursing staff to develop comprehensive care plans, educate teams, and coordinate services, including opioid patient management. A strong nursing license and prescriptive authority are required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing is required
Nursing License and BLS certification are required
MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG is required
Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA is required
Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Responsibilities

Performs history and physical examinations, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting tests, and educating patients and families.
Acts as a clinical educator and resources for staff through consultations and seminars.
Coordinates patient care across teams to ensure safe, effective, timely, patient-centered care.
Consults with physicians or surgeons for complex diagnoses.
Documents clinical encounters clearly and promptly.
Collaborates with health professionals to determine patient needs.
Models interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care.
Provide direct patient care and management for all opioid patients.
