Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of start date.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities and teamwork.
• Emergency Room requires ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
• Pediatric Emergency Room requires Pediatric Advanced Life Support and TNCC within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Interact with patient and family while maintaining professional standards.
• Collect and analyze data, plan individualized care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Direct care and coordinate any assistants involved in patient care.
• Participate in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Document responses to nursing interventions and adjust plans accordingly.
• Apply current evidence to guide practice decisions.
