Job summary

Prisma Health’s Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical direction across the nursing process in an acute inpatient setting. You will implement evidence-based practices, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure a smooth discharge process while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.

Day shift responsibilities include leading nursing assessments, planning, and evaluation with patient/family involvement.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: ADN; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year as a registered nurse.
• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• In lieu of experience: Prisma Health Nurse Residency or a comparable residency; or 1 year of LPN experience for internal candidates within the same service line.
• In lieu of an Associate degree, a nursing diploma with licensure to practice as an RN may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency using evidence-based practices across the nursing process.
• Develops and updates individualized plans of care with patient/family involvement.
• Ensures patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement throughout care.
• Delegates tasks and communicates care plans across the healthcare team.
• Maintains accurate documentation and supports continuity of care during discharge planning.
