MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Inpatient Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a staff position in Augusta, Maine. The role supports Nuclear Medicine and PET departments across affiliated facilities, with 40 hours per week and daytime shifts.

The ideal candidate will review orders, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, perform imaging, and uphold safety standards while educating patients. Maine licensure and NMTCB/ARRT certification, plus BLS and MS Office proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• License and/or certification requirements clearly stated in the job posting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience and education aligned with nuclear medicine practice.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patients on procedures and consent.
• Prepare, administer, store and dispose radiopharmaceuticals per protocols and regulations.
• Set up equipment, select exposure factors, perform imaging, and ensure patient safety and image quality.
• Position patients, analyze results, report issues, and document scan results.
