Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Augusta and Waterville. The role focuses on patient safety, collaboration, and teamwork within our Nuclear Medicine departments.

Key responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, educating patients, administering radiopharmaceuticals, monitoring conditions, and ensuring imaging quality. Ideal candidates will hold relevant licenses and certifications, and have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

  • Current State of Maine License for Radiological Technology/Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the NMTCB or ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and healthcare provider designation.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient history and physician orders.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Administer and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocols.
  • Monitor patient condition and report changes.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.

Skills

State of Maine License for Radiological Technology/Nuclear Medicine
Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
