Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders for adults. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to maximize independence and function in a fast-paced rehab setting.

The role involves planning and directing SLP programs, supervising staff and students, and coordinating patient discharge planning to ensure safe transitions back to the community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• State license in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• BLS certification per policy guidelines is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises rehab staff and students involved in care.
• Evaluates patients and establishes care plans for speech-language pathology.
• Gathers data from medical records and family, plans modalities and exercises.
• Documents evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, and charges.
• Re-evaluates patients as status changes and adjusts goals.
• Communicates evaluations and progress to physicians and care teams.
