Job summary

Elliot Rehabilitation Services inpatient department provides mobilization and therapy across the lifespan with a collaborative hospital-wide team. The Mobility Tech role supports mobilization and personal care of patients on the inpatient units, under direction of Clinical Nurse Managers.

Responsibilities include assisting with treatment setup, ambulation, transfers, and equipment management, while maintaining supply levels.

Qualifications

• Must be able to assist with mobilization and personal care of patients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• CPR certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for treatment. Assist during and after treatment.
• Assist with toileting and personal care preparation.
• Assist with ambulation and exercise plans.
• Assemble supplies, set up and adjust equipment, prepare treatment modalities.
• Assist with transfers and mechanical lifting of debilitated patients.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Maintain mobility supply levels and cleanliness of supplies.
• Perform daily mobility equipment sweep on inpatient units.
• Perform other duties as required.
