Job summary

Fremont Hospital, a fully accredited inpatient psychiatric facility, seeks a Milieu Therapist to support patients of all ages. The role involves treatment planning, group therapy, and collaboration with a physician-led team to promote emotional health.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health or a related field required.
• One year direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting and experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities is required.
• Registered and in good standing with the BBS or active license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, or other applicable license, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in meeting bio-psycho-social needs using therapeutic treatment skills.
• Manage treatment activities including treatment planning and interfacing with the physician-led treatment team.
• Provide psychotherapeutic groups and activities to patients and their families; offer clinical consultation to unit staff.
• Clinical supervision is available.
