Job summary

Jefferson Health in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support inpatient care under the supervision of a primary nurse. You will help monitor patient conditions, document mood and behavioral changes, and provide individual sessions to patients as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and PEAT training, with a preference for college credits and a behavioral health degree.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• At least 12 college credits; full degree preferred
• BS or BA in behavioral health field preferred
• One year experience with behavioral health clients preferred
• BLS through AHA required
• PEAT training and ability to safely restrain an/aggressively acting out patient required

Responsibilities

• Assists the RN in delivering care, observing patient behaviors, and more.
• Reports/documents changes in patients mood or behavior in a timely fashion.
• Provides one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed
