Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care concepts.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Performs patient rounds, responds promptly to call lights or pages.
• May assist as a virtual safety associate as needed for telehealth.
• May facilitate, under distant provider direction, virtual exams with required devices.
